LIMA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis team fell to Ohio Northern University in an Ohio Athletic Conference match by a final score of 8-1 inside the Westwood Tennis and Fitness Center.
BW (11-4, 0-1 OAC) won one doubles match. Ohio Northern (13-4, 2-0 OAC) won two doubles and six singles matches.
Doubles
- Junior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC Matt McGee (Ottawa Hills) and sophomore All-OAC Will Horvath (Oregon/Clay) won at first singles by a score of 8-4
- Sophomores Henry Harders (Ottawa Hills) and Jacob Weingart (Tiffin/Columbian), who is this week's OAC Player of the Week, fell at second doubles by a score of 8-2
- Junior All-OAC Aidan Hicks (Oneida, N.Y.) and junior All-OAC Adam Zeidler (Bay Village/Bay) fell at third double by a score of 8-3
Singles
- McGee fell at first singles by scores 7-6 (7-4), 3-6 and 15-13
- Horvath fell at second singles by scores of 7-6 (7-4) and 6-1
- Sophomore Gavin Binni (Sylvania/Northview) fell at third singles by scores of 6-2 and 6-0
- Weingart fell at fourth singles by identical scores of 6-2
- Harders fell at fifth singles by scores of 6-0 and 6-1
- Sophomore Joe Donnelly (Lodi/Cloverleaf) fell at sixth singles by identical scores of 6-1
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, April 17 when they host an OAC match against the University of Mount Union on the Pop Collins Tennis Courts at 3:30 p.m.
