Men’s Tennis Wins Albion (Mich.) Doubles Tournament

ALBION, Mich.  – The Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis team took first place at the Albion College Doubles Tournament on the Britton Tennis Courts.

BW was first of four teams with doubles record of 19-3.  Alma (Mich.) College was second with a record of 15-9.  Albion took third with a mark of 10-14 and the University of Olivet (Mich.) was fourth with a record of 2-20. 

  • Junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC player Matt McGee (Ottawa Hills) and sophomore All-OAC player Will Horvath (Oregon/Clay) went undefeated with a record of 6-0
  • Sophomores Henry Harders (Ottawa Hills) and Jacob Weingart (Tiffin/Columbian) went undefeated with a mark of 5-0
  • Sophomores Gavin Binni (Sylvania/Northview) and Joe Donnelly (Lodi/Cloverleaf) went undefeated with a record of 3-0
  • Junior Academic All-OAC player Jack Hindman (Avon) and junior Aidan Hicks (Oneida, N.Y.) went 2-1
  • Junior Academic All-OAC player Caleb Reed (Wilmington) and junior Adam Zeidler (Bay Village/Bay) went 3-2

The Yellow Jackets close out the fall portion of their schedule on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 29 and 30 and October 1 when they travel to Kalamazoo, Michigan to compete in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Central Regional Championships hosted by Kalamazoo College inside Stowe Stadium.
