HILTON HEAD, S.C. – In its third spring break match, the Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis team defeated Lancaster Bible (Pa.) College in a non-conference match by a final score of 8-1 at the Chaplin Community Park.
BW (7-1) won three doubles matches and five singles matches. Lancaster Bible (0-2) won one singles matches
Doubles
- Junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC Matt McGee (Ottawa Hills) and sophomore All-OAC Will Horvath (Oregon/Clay) won at first singles over Josh Jarvis and Caleb Cavaiani by a score of 8-1
- Junior Academic All-OAC Caleb Reed (Wilmington) and sophomore Chaz Yates (Grafton/Midview) won at second doubles over Hembert Pena and Cole Scheihing by a score of 8-3
- Junior Academic All-OAC Jack Hindman (Avon) and junior Austin Kingsley (Northport, N.Y.) won at third doubles over Andrew Kelley and Austin King by a score of 8-1
Singles
- Junior All-OAC Adam Zeidler (Bay Village/Bay) fell to Jarvis at first singles by identical scores of 6-4
- Sophomore Joe Donnelly (Lodi/Cloverleaf) defeated Cavaiani at second singles by scores of 6-3 and 6-1
- Junior Tyler Perkins (Geneva) defeated Pena at third singles by identical scores of 6-2
- Junior All-OAC Aidan Hicks (Oneida, N.Y.) defeated Kelly at fourth singles by scores of 6-1 and 6-0
- Freshman Nathan Meier (Brunswick) defeated Scheihing at fifth singles by scores of 6-4 and 6-3
- Junior Will Laskey (Mansfield/Madison) defeataed King at sixth singles by scores of 7-5 and 6-1
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Tuesday, March 5 continues its Hilton Head trip with a pair of non-conference matches against Eastern Nazarene (Mass.) University and Lebanon Valley (Pa.) College at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
