HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis team suffered their first loss of the season to Roanoke (Va.) College on their annual Spring Break Trip to Hilton head by a final score of 5-4 at the Shipyard Racquet Club.
Doubles (Roanoke, 2-1)
- No. 1: BW (6-1) won freshman Matt McGee (Ottawa Hills) and junior Trey Kernan (Penfield, N.Y.) won 8-4 over Zach Kriebel and Hardt Lesko
- No. 2: Roanoke (3-2) won Thomas Hodges and Cartr Hylton won 8-2 over senior Edwin Schartman (Westlake) and junior All-OAC Anthony Tosatto (Creston/Norwayne)
- No. 3: Maroons won Dalton Capobianco and Hunter Adams won 8-1
- over freshmen Aidan Hicks (Oneida, N.Y.) and Adam Zeidler (Bay Village/Bay)
Singles (Roanoke, 5-4)
- No. 1: Yellow Jackets won McGee defeated Kriebel by scores of 6-1, 6-1
- No. 2: BW won Kernan took down Lesko by scores of 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-3)
- No. 3: Roanoke won Capobianco won over Hicks by scores of 6-4, 6-2
- No. 4: Maroons won Hodges won over Tosatto by scores of 3-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-6)
- No. 5: Yellow Jackets won Zeidler won over Lance Beheler by scores of 6-3, 6-2
- No. 6: Roanoke won Mitchell Morrell won over freshman Jack Hindman (Avon) by scores of 6-3, 6-4
BW is back in action on Tuesday, March 8 when it takes on Brevard (N.C.) College at the Hilton Head Resort at 6:00 p.m.
