BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis team dropped an Ohio Athletic Conference match to Otterbein University by a final score of 8-1 on the Pop Collins Tennis Courts
With the loss, BW falls to 10-3 overall and 1-1 in the OAC. Otterbein improves to 6-6 overall and 2-1 in the OAC.
Doubles (OTT, 3-0)
- The No. 1 team of junior Trey Kernan (Penfield, N.Y.) and freshman Matt McGee (Ottawa Hills) fell by a score of 8-7 (10-8)
- The No. 2 duo of junior All-OAC performer Anthony Tosatto (Creston/Norwayne) and freshman Caleb Reed (Wilmington) dropped an 8-5 decision
- The No. 3 unit of freshmen Aidan Hicks (Oneida, N.Y.) and Adam Zeidler (Bay Village/Bay) fell by a score of 8-3
Singles (OTT, 8-1)
- McGee won by scores of 6-7 (7-2), 6-2, 1-0 (10-5) at number one
- Kernan fell by scores of 6-4 and 6-1 at number two
- Hicks fell by identical scores of 6-0 at number three
- Tosatto fell by scores of 6-2 and 6-1 at number four
- Zeidler fell by scores of 7-5 and 6-1 at number five
- Freshman Jack Hindman (Avon) fell by identical scores of 6-2 at number sixth
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Friday, April 22 when they travel to Ada for a rescheduled OAC match against Ohio Northern University on the University Tennis Courts at 4:30 p.m. BW remains on the road on Saturday, April 23 when it travels to Marietta for an OAC match against Marietta College at the Beren Tennis Center at 1 p.m.
