Kernan Earns First OAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week Honors

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis student-athlete junior Trey Kernan (Penfield, N.Y.) earns first Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week honors.

Kernan earns the honors after the team's annual Spring Break Trip in Hilton Head, S.C. where he went 10-0. Kernan went a perfect 5-0 in the No. 2 singles position. He also went 5-0 in the No. 1 doubles position with his teammate freshman Matt McGee (Ottawa Hills).

Kernan is undefeated in dual matches this season as he is 9-0 in the No. 2 singles position. He also is 9-0 with McGee at No. 1 doubles this season. In the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Central Region Championships, Kernan went 1-2 in singles and 1-1 in doubles with McGee.

BW returns to the courts on Wednesday, March 23rd at 3:30 p.m. when it hosts a non-conference match against Thiel (Pa.) College on the Pop Collins Tennis Courts.
