ZANESVILLE, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team finished fourth of six teams at the two-day and 36-hole annual Muskingum University Spring Invitational Tournament at the Eagle Sticks Golf Club.

BW, 27-15 overall in seven total tournaments and 11.5 rounds of golf, carded a rounds of 307 in the first round and 318 in the second round for a 625-stroke team total at Muskingum on the par-70 and 6,508-yard Eaglesticks layout.  Otterbein University won the team title.

BW was led by senior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC player Stephen Spalding (Stow/ Walsh Jesuit) with rounds of 78 and 76 for a 154-stroke total. He was followed by junior Adam Sanders (Fairview Park/ Fairview) with rounds of 75 and 81 for a 156 total,  freshman Scott Schroeder (Aurora) with rounds of 79 and 80 for a 159 total, freshman Matt Kershner (Independence) with rounds of 75 and 88 for a 163 total and senior Augie Ward (Medina/ Walsh Jesuit) with rounds of 86 and 81 for a 167 total.

Playing as individuals, sophomore Connor Duplin (North Canton/ St. Thomas Aquinas) had rounds of 82 and 77 for a 159-stroke total, freshman Mike Devine (Richfield/ Revere) had rounds of 82 and 88 for a 170 total and freshman Austin Griffith (Barberton) had rounds of 82 and 91 for a 173 total.

BW returns to action up north on Sunday, April 6 when BW travels to North Delaware, Ohio and the Oakhaven Golf Club when the Yellow Jackets play in the Ohio Wesleyan University Strimer Memorial Invitational Tournament Golf Club.
