BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION:   Adam Sanders played his third season of men's golf at Baldwin Wallace University in 2013-2014. He is one of the top players in the Ohio Athletic Conference.

ATHLETIC HONORS:  As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Adam earned medalist honors at the 2013 Capital University Spring Purple & White Invitational (see more below) and earned the Ohio Athletic Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week award for his efforts. As a junior in 2013-2014, Adam was the medalist at the 2014 OAC Spring Invitational and subsequently earned his second OAC Men’s Golfer of the Week award.

GENERAL NOTES & OTHER INFORMATION:  As a freshman in 2011-2012, Adam played in his first season of golf and earned his first varsity letter. In the fall of 2011, Adam played in three tournaments and averaged 81.00 strokes per round. He carded a career low 78 at the John Carroll University Pat Flowers Invitational at Shaker Heights Country Club. In the spring of 2012, Adam played in seven tournaments and averaged 82.43 strokes per round. His season and career-best round was a 77 at the Denison University Ted Barclay Invitational.

As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Adam played his second season of golf and earned his second letter. In the fall of 2012, Adam did not play golf. In the spring of 2013, Adam earned medalist honors at the Capital University Purple & White Invitational by shooting rounds of a career-low 69 and 77 for a 36-hole total of 146 strokes. He earned the Ohio Athletic Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week award for his efforts. During the spring, Adam played in five tournaments and nine total rounds and averaged 77.11 strokes per round.

As a junior in 2013-2014, Adam played his third season of golf and earned his third varsity letter. During the 2013 fall season, Adam played in five tournaments and 8.5 rounds and averaged 76.35 strokes per round. He also was the medalist at the 2014 OAC Spring Invitational and subsequently earned his second OAC Men’s Golfer of the Week award. Adam had a season-low 73 on three occassions: at the University of Mount Union Tournament (Day1), at the 2013 OAC Fall Invitational (Day 1) and again at the 2014 OAC Spring Invitational (Day1). During the spring Adam played in all 7 of the teams tournements, and shot his best round of a 73 at the OAC Spring Invite where he placed 1st among all of the golfers with a combined stroke count of 151. As a senior in 2014-2015, Adam will compete in his fourth season of golf at BW and hope to earn his fourth varsity letter.

HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:   Adam Sanders grew up in Fairview Park, Ohio and graduated from Fairview Park High School. Adam played four years of high school golf and earned four varsity letters.

Adam’s senior year he was first-team All-Conference, the conference individual champion/ medalist and the conference Most Valuable Player. He also was the Fairview H.S. MVP all four years.

Academically, Adam was named as a Scholar-Athlete as both a junior and senior.
