BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Augie Ward played in his fourth season of golf at Baldwin Wallace University in 2013-2014. He helped lead the Yellow Jackets to the 2014 Ohio Athletic Conference title and a berth in the NCAA Division III National Tournament from May 13-16 in Greensboro, N.C.

GENERAL GOLF INFORMATION:  As a freshman in 2010-2011, Augie played in his first season of golf during the 2011 spring season after transferring from Kent State University after the fall Semester. In four tournaments and eight total rounds, he averaged 80.00 strokes with a best round of 76 on the second day of the Denison University Invitational.

As a sophomore in 2011-2012, Augie played his second season of golf for the Yellow Jackets. During his fall 2011 season, Augie played in four tournaments while carding seven total rounds. For the seven rounds Augie recorded 561 strokes with an average of 80.14 strokes per round. His best round was a 77 on the first day of the Mount Union Invitational at Tannenhauf Golf Club. During the Spring, Augie played in seven tournaments while carding 14 total rounds. He recorded 1147 total strokes for an average of 81.93. His best round came at the Muskingum University Invitational at the Eaglesticks Golf Club in South Zanesville, Ohio when Aguie shot a 75.

As a junior in 2012-13, Augie competed in his third season of golf. In the fall season of 2012, he golfed seven rounds in four tournaments. Augie averaged his career-best 79 stroke average during this season. In the spring, Augie played in five tournaments for a total of nine rounds of golf. He had an average of 82.44 strokes per round, and carded a career low 71 at the Muskingum University Invitational.

As a senior in 2013-2014, Augie competed his fourth season of golf. Augie played in five total tournamnets shooting in a total of 8.5 rounds of 18 hole golf. He averaged 79.41 strokes per round  with a season best of 77 strokes at the OAC Invitational tournamnet and the John Carrol Invitational. In the spring Augie played in all 7 tournements and shot his best round of an 76 at the OAC Championship at West Lafeyette, Ohio.

 

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: August Ward grew up in Medina, Ohio and graduated from Walsh Jesuit High School. August played three years of varsity golf and played one year of basketball as well.

August was a District Qualifier three years, named a Plain Dealer "Player to Watch" and was named team Most Valubale Player his senior year.  He was also the team captain his senior year.
