Women’s Soccer Shuts Out Wilmington on Seniors’ Day

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace women's soccer team defeated Ohio Athletic Conference opponent Wilmington College by a score of 3-0 in this season's Seniors' Day game on Tressel Field inside George Finnie Stadium.

The women's soccer program recognized senior student-athletes Paige Ackerman, Jenna Eitel, Bailey Hall, Jillian Neal, Ellie Pinar, Sydney Rice, and Alissa Scattino, as well as senior student coaches Elise Bingle, Ruthie Curry and Cassidy Haines on completing their outstanding soccer careers at BW.

BW Leaders (6-5-1, 2-1 OAC)

  • Senior midfielder Alissa Scattino (Girard/Warren John F. Kennedy) scored her first goal and assist of the season ending the day with a team-high three points
  • Freshman forward Kalyn Rich (Lynchburg/Lynchburg-Clay) recorded one goal to give her seven on the year
  • Sophomore forward Sydni Mudge (Birch Run, Mich.) scored making it her now fourth straight game with a goal
  • Freshman defender Ella James (Loveland) recorded her fourth assist of the year

Wilmington Leaders (7-4-1, 0-3 OAC)

  • Freshman goalkeeper Emma Storck tallied five saves 

First Half (BW 2-0)

  • 28:41 – Scattino scored a goal off of a James corner kick
  • 40:28 – Rich found the back of the net from Rice to extend the lead

Second Half (BW 3-0)

  • 50:39 - Mudge added to the Yellow Jacket lead with an assist from Scattino
