Women's Soccer Loses Heartbreaker to John Carroll

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team traveled to Don Shula Stadium to face neighboring John Carroll University. The match was close, remaining scoreless until the last three minutes when John Carroll's Madyson Rosado put one on the board securing the 1-0 win for the Blue Streaks. 

BW Leaders (6-6-1, 2-2 OAC)

  • Junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference forward Sydney Rice (North Royalton) had a team high six shots with two of them being on goal for the Yellow Jackets

  • Freshman forward Kalyn Rich (Lynchburg/Lynchburg-Clay) recorded two shots with one shot on goal 

  • Sophomore forward Sydni Mudge (Birch Run, Mich.) also added two shots  

  • Junior Academic All-OAC goalkeeper Katie Scott (Lewis Center/Olentangy) had an impressive nine saves throughout the game 

 

JCU Leaders (8-1-3, 4-0 OAC)

  • Sophomore forward Emily Patryzk had a whopping nine shots as well as two shots on goal making her the leader for the Blue Streaks

  • Sophomore midfielder Meridith Coloain had five shots total, one of those shots being on goal 

  • Junior forward Madyson Rosario scored the only goal of the night along with two notable shots on goal 

  • Freshman goalkeeper Madeline Kosier played the full game tailing five saves 

 

The Yellow Jackets will be back in action again on Saturday, October 14th when they travel to New Concord to face Ohio Athletic Conference opponent Muskingum University on North Turf Field at 1 p.m.
