Bleich Garners First Career Wrestler of the Week Accolade

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – For the first time in his career, junior two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC 157-pounder Stanley Bleich (North Ridgeville/Elyria Catholic) has been named Wrestler of the Week.

Bleich, who was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler at the Ithaca (N.Y.) Invite, garners this accolade after a 20-point, 6-0 weekend. The junior tallied three major decisions and three decisions, en route to a 10-5 decision in his championship bout to claim the 157 title.

Bleich carries a 67-18 career mark, which ties him at 35th on BW's all-time career-wins list and for his career has seven pins, 18 major decisions, and one technical fall under his belt. 

BW will hit the mats next on Sunday November 10 for the Ohio Intercollegiate Open, hosted by Case Western Reserve University. Matches begin at 9 a.m.
