CLEVELAND -- The three-time defending Ohio Athletic Conference champion Baldwin Wallace University wrestling team finished in 15th place and two wrestlers earned All-American honors at the NCAA Division III National Championships hosted by BW and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission at Cleveland's historic Public Auditorium.

The top eight individuals in each weight class earn All-American honors.

The Yellow Jackets (19-2) were 15th of 60 teams with 28 points.  Wartburg (Iowa) College won its third straight championship and its 14th overall with 132.5 points.

BW Assistant Coach Jason Zastrow was named the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) National Assistant Coach of the Year.

The Yellow Jackets were led by junior All-American and All-Ohio Athletic Conference 165-pounder Anthony Arroyo (Maumee) and senior All-OAC 125 pounder Chris Doyle (Akron/Green), sophomore 141-pounder Charlie Nash (Norwalk) as each earned All-American accolades. 

Arroyo earned his second straight All-American honor as he finished third.  He captured his first accolade last season when he placed fifth.  Arroyo, who had a record of 5-1 at the championships, earned a 7-2 decision victory over Nick Remke of the Coast Guard (Conn.) Academy, picked up a 12-10 decision over Jeff Hojnacki of Messiah (Pa.) College, won by injury default over Thomas Poklikuha of Stevens Institute of Technology (N.J.), lost by pinfall to to eventual champion Lucas Jeske of Augsburg (Minn.) College, earned a 7-2 decision over Hojnacki and claimed third place with a 7-5 decision over Frank Aiello of Wheaton (Ill.) College.  He ends his junior season with a record 36-2 and is now tied for 13th in school history with a mark of 92-17.

Doyle earned his first All-American honor as he finished in eighth place with a record of 2-3.  He earned a 5-0 decision over Kordell Rush of Delaware Valley (Pa.) University, lost a 4-3 decision to Johnathan Hass of Brockport (N.Y.) University, picked up an 18-17 decision over Brennen Doebel of Wartburg (Iowa.) College, lost a 7-4 decision to Mike Totorice of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and fell by an 8-1 decision to Ferdinand Mase of Ithaca (N.Y.) College in his final match to earn eighth place.  Doyle ends his final season with a record of 26-9 and closes out his career ranked eighth in school-history with a mark of 97-53. 

Also competing for the Yellow Jackets were sophomore All-OAC and Academic All-OAC 133-pounder Dante Ginnetti (Poland/Seminary), sophomore Academic All-OAC 141-pounder Charlie Nash (Norwalk), freshman All-OAC 149-pounder Stanley Bleich (North Ridgeville/Elyria Catholic), junior All-OAC 174-pounder Justin Ransom (Mason), junior All-OAC 184-pounder Zeckary Lehman (Akron/Revere), senior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC 197-pounder Tyler Maclellan (Medina/Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy) and senior All-OAC 285-pounder Gabe Mahaney (Green).

Ginnetti, who qualified for his first national tournament, finished with a record of 1-2.  He ended his second season with a record of 36-7 and now has a 60-15 career mark.

Nash, who is made his first trip to the national championship, posted a mark of 1-2.  He finished his second campaign with a record of 27-14 and is now 51-25 in his career. 

Bleich, who qualified for his first national tournament, finished with a record of 1-2.  He ended his first year with a record of 32-11.

Ransom, who is made his first trip to the national championship, posted a mark of 1-2.  He finished his second season with a record of 27-12 and now has a 47-19 career mark.

Lehman, who qualified for his first national tournament, finished with a 2-2 record.  He ends his second season with a record of 31-10 mark and is now 61-19 in his career.

Maclellan, who is made his second trip to the national championship and the first since 2016, went 1-2.  He ends his senior season with a record of 30-12 and finished his career with a mark of 96-48, which ranks ninth in school history.

Mahaney, who qualified for his second national tournament, had a record of 0-2.  He ends his final season with a record of 33-10 and finished his with a mark of 78-31, which ranks 20th in school history.
