BW Women's Golf Team Finishes Sixth at 2009 OAC Tournament

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished sixth of nine schools today (Sunday,  April 26, 2009) at the 2009 Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament hosted by Muskingum College, at the River Greens Golf Club in West Lafayette, Ohio.

The Yellow Jackets totaled 791 strokes (405-386) on the par-72 and 6,155-yard River Greens layout. Otterbein College won the OAC title with a two-day score of 665 (327-338) and the Cardinals' Rustie Anderson took medalist honors (84-81=165). 

Individually for the Yellow Jackets, freshman Ali Jones (West Muskingum) led the way with her second consecutive round of 98 for a total of 196, which tied her for 23rd as an individual.

Senior Lydia Cole (East Canton) followed her 101 yesterday with a 99 today for a two-day total of 200 to finish in 27th and senior Lindsey Beichler (Orville/ Smithville) shot the low round of the day for the Yellow Jackets with a 90 to finish with a two-day total of 201, good for 28th overall.  Freshman Caci Lewandowski (Sharon Center/ Medina Highland) carded a 102 today for a total of 203 to finish tied for 30th and sophomore Nicole Carlone (Canton/ St. Thomas Aquinas) shot a 99 today to finish in 33rd with a two-day total of 204 strokes.
