Women's Golfers Place Third at Rain-Shortened Grove City (Pa.) Invitational

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished in third place of six teams competing at the Grove City (Pa.) College Invitational at Grove City Country Club in Grove City, Pennsylvania on Saturday, March 28. The tournament, originally scheduled as a two-day event, was cut short to one round due to inclement weather.

Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) College leads the field at 377 and is followed by Grove City (388) in second place.

Freshman Ali Jones (West Muskingum) led the Yellow Jackets with an 18-hole score of 98 and is tied for 10th overall in the 30-person field. Sophomore Nicole Carlone (Canton/ St. Thomas Aquinas) and senior Lydia Cole (East Canton) each shot 100 and senior Lindsey Beichler (Orrville/ Smithville) shot 102 to round of the scoring for BW. Freshman Caci Lewandowski (Sharon Center/ Medina Highland) was the fifth Yellow Jacket to compete and shot 117.
