BW Women's Golf Team Places 13th at Capital Purple and White Invitational

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished in 13th place at the Capital University Purple and White Invitational this weekend, Friday and Saturday, April 3-4, at the Foxfire Golf Club in Lackbourne. The Yellow Jackets tallied 847 strokes over the two-round tournament.  BW sat in 13th place after one round of action.

 
Bethel (Ind.) College won with 678 strokes and was joined in the top five by Ohio Northern University (720), Otterbein College (723), Wittenberg University (743) and Ohio Dominican University (763).
 
Senior Lydia Cole (East Canton) led the Yellow Jackets with an 36-hole score of 187 strokes and finished individually in a tie for 17th place.  Freshman Ali Jones (West Muskingum) carded 206, and was followed by freshman Caci Lewandowski (Sharon Center/ Medina Highland) with 235 strokes and senior Lindsey Beichler (Orville/ Smithville) with 242 strokes.
 
The Yellow Jackets return to action for the Wittenberg University Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, April 18-19 Windy Knoll Golf Club in Springfield, Ohio.
