BW Women's Golf Team Stands Seventh After First Day of OAC Tournament

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team stands seventh of nine schools after the first day (Saturday, April 25, 2009) of the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament, hosted by Muskingum College, at the River Greens Golf Club in West Lafayette, Ohio. The second day of competition will take place tomorrow, Sunday, April 26.

The Yellow Jackets totalled 405 strokes on the par-72 and 6,155-yard River Greens layout. Otterbein College leads after the first day with a 337-stroke total. 

Individually for the Yellow Jackets, freshman Ali Jones (West Muskingum) led the way and is 19th individually as she carded a 98. Senior Lydia Cole (East Canton) and freshman Caci Lewandowski (Sharon Center/ Medina Highland) tied for second on the team as each shot a 101 to rank in a tie for 24th. Sophomore Nicole Carlone (Canton/ St. Thomas Aquinas) was fourth on the squad with a 105 to rank in a tie for 32nd and senior Lindsey Beichler (Orville/ Smithville) had a 111 to stand 36th.
