Baldwin Wallace Women's Golfers Sit 11th After Day One of Wittenberg Invitational

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team sits in 11th place of 12 teams competing at the Wittenberg University Invitational this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, April 18-19, at the Windy Knoll Golf Club in Springfield. The Yellow Jackets shot 388 as a team in round one.

Senior Lydia Cole (East Canton) led the Yellow Jackets with an 18-hole score of 88 and is tied for 27th place overall. Freshman Ali Jones (West Muskingum) shot 93 and was followed by sophomore Nicole Carlone (Canton/ St. Thomas Aquinas) at 101, senior Lindsey Beichler (Orrville/ Smithville) at 106 and freshman Caci Lewandowski (Sharon Center/ Medina Highland) at 114.

Following this weekend's tournament, BW is back in action on Saturday and Sunday, April 25-26, at 2009 Ohio Athletic Conference Championship hosted by Muskingum College at River Greens Golf Course in in West Lafayette.
