BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team completed the first round of action today (Saturday, October 11, 2008) at the Clash of the Clouse Tournament hosted by Wittenberg University at Windy Knoll Golf Club in Springfield. The team currently sits in 12th place out of 12 teams.
On the first day of action, the Yellow Jackets shot a 393 to pit them in 12th place on the par-71 and 5,800-yard layout.
Individually, senior Lydia Cole (East Canton) led the way for the Yellow Jackets with an 82-stroke first round. She was followed by sophomore Nicole Carlone (Canton/ St. Thomas Aquinas) who tallied 98 strokes. Freshman Ali Jones (West Muskingum) totalled 102, sophomore Sam Migalski (Monahawkin, N.J./ Southern Regional) shot a 106, and senior Lindsey Beichler (Orrville/ Smithville) shot a 107. Freshman Caci Lewandowksi (Sharon Center/ Medina Highland) rounded out the scoring with a 108.
The team will return to action tomorrow (Sunday, October 12) for the second round of play. Following tomorrow's action, the women's fall golf schedule will conclude.
