BW Women's Golfers in 13th Place After Day One of Capital Purple and White Invitational

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team sits in 13th place of 17 teams competing at the Capital University Purple and White Invitational this weekend, Friday and Saturday, April 3-4, at the Foxfire Golf Club in Lackbourne. The Yellow Jackets shot 440 as a team and will tee-off the final round at 10 a.m. tomorrow.

Bethel (Ind.) College sits in first place at 348 strokes and is joined in the top five by Otterbein College (368), Wittenberg University (371), Ohio Northern University (375) and Ohio Dominican University (398).

Senior Lydia Cole (East Canton) led the Yellow Jackets with an 18-hole score of 97 and is tied for 23rd place overall. Freshman Ali Jones (West Muskingum) shot 102 and was followed by senior Lindsey Beichler (Orrville/ Smithville) at 113 and freshman Caci Lewandowski (Sharon Center/ Medina Highland) at 122.

Following this weekend's tournament, BW is back in action on Saturday and Sunday, April 18-19, at the Wittenberg University Invitational in Springfield.
