Baldwin Wallace Women's Golfers Finish 11th at Wittenberg Invitational

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team placed 11th of 12 teams competing at the Wittenberg University Invitational this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, April 18-19, at the Windy Knoll Golf Club in Springfield. The Yellow Jackets shot 378 on the final day and improved 10 strokes from their round one total.

Senior Lydia Cole (East Canton) led the Yellow Jackets with a spring-best 84 in round two and tied for 25th place overall. Freshman Ali Jones (West Muskingum) shot 94 and was followed by sophomore Nicole Carlone (Canton/ St. Thomas Aquinas) at 98, senior Lindsey Beichler (Orrville/ Smithville) at 104 and freshman Caci Lewandowski (Sharon Center/ Medina Highland) at 102.

BW is back in action on Saturday and Sunday, April 25-26, at the 2009 Ohio Athletic Conference Championship hosted by Muskingum College at River Greens Golf Course in in West Lafayette.
