BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team shot a 397 to finish third out of six teams at the Muskingum Fall Invitational at the River Greens Golf Course in West Lafayette on Friday (September 26, 2008).
Senior Lydia Cole (East Canton) led the way for BW with a 91, which earned her eighth place overall in the 35-person field. Freshman Ali Jones (West Muskingum) was not far behind, tying for 11th place with a 96. Senior Simone Short (Toledo/Whitmer) finished in a tie for 20th place with a 104 while sophomore Nicole Carlone (Canton/St. Thomas Aquinas) carded a 106 to finish 22nd. Freshman Caci Lewandowski (Sharon Center/Medina Highland) shot 118 to round out the Yellow Jacket scoring.
Competing individually, senior Lindsey Beichler (Orrville/Smithville) shot 121.
The Yellow Jackets will be back in action Saturday (September 27, 2008) as they will begin play on the first of the two-day John Carroll 54-Hole Invitational at the Fowlers Mill Golf Course in Chesterland, Ohio.
