MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - For the first time since the 2007-08 season, the Baldwin Wallace University women's basktball team jumped to the No. 11 spot in D3hoops.com's seventh weekly edition of its national poll.

BW appears in the top-25 rankings for the seventh consecutive week with 363 vote points; a 48-vote point increase from last week's No. 12 ranking. The Yellow Jackets are the sole Ohio Athletic Conference representative in this week's top-25 rankings, with crosstown rival John Carroll University having just received votes. As aforementioned, BW also claims its highest national ranking since attaining the No. 10 position in the 2007-08 Week 14 poll.

The Yellow Jackets' one-place jump in the national rankings comes following a week that featured two convincing OAC victories, with the first coming at home against Ohio Northern University by a final score of 59-42, and the second transpiring on the road against Wilmington College by a final score of 85-61. In addition to BW's 20.5 average margin of victory this past week, its upward transition in the national rankings can also be credited to an ongoing six-game win streak, and an undefeated 8-0 record in conference play.

BW will return to the court on Wednesday, January 22 when it travels to University Heights to take on crosstown rival John Carroll for a No. 1 versus No. 2 OAC bout in the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center at 7:00 p.m.
