Complete D3hoops.com Week 12 National Rankings

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - For the first time since the 2007-08 season, the Baldwin Wallace University women's basketball team have cracked the top-10 national rankings, in D3hoops.com's 12th weekly edition of its national poll.

BW appears in the national top-25 rankings for the 12th consecutive week with a season-high 384 vote points; a 33-vote point increase from last week's No. 12 ranking. The Yellow Jackets are accompanied in this week's poll by fellow Ohio Athletic Conference member, and crosstown rival John Carroll University, who remained idle this week at the No. 25 spot. Also, as aforementioned, BW claims its highest national ranking, and appears in the poll's top-10 for the first time since attaining the No. 10 position in the 2007-08 Week 14 poll, released on March 2, 2008.

The Yellow Jackets' two-place jump in the national rankings comes following a week that featured two regular season-ending OAC victories, with the first coming at home against the University of Mount Union by a final score of 80-53, and the second transpiring on the road against Otterbein University by a final score of 68-50. In addition to BW's 22.5 average margin of victory this past week, its upward transition in the national rankings can also be credited to an ongoing nine-game win streak, a perfect 12-0 regular season slate at home, and its clinching of the 2019-20 OAC regular season title.

The Yellow Jackets return to the court tonight, Tuesday, February 25, when they host eighth-seeded Otterbein as the one-seed in the OAC Tournament Quarterfinals, and the opening segment of a BW men's and women's basketball doubleheader, in Ursprung Gymnasium at 6:00 p.m.
