Men's Swimming Drops OAC Opener

BEREA, OHIO – The Baldwin Wallace University men's  swimming and diving team dropped the 2013-2014 Ohio Athletic Conference season opener to Wilmington College in the BW Natatorium in the Lou Higgins Center.

The BW men, now 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the OAC, lost to Wilmington by a score of 126-78. 

The men were led by freshman Jacob Burk (Bowling Green) won both the 1000-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle with times of 10:17.39 and 5:01.89 respectively. Also winning for the men was sophomore Justin Allison (Napoleon) who won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 22.44 seconds.

The Yellow Jackets return to action next weekend when they will swim in the first two rounds of the Annual Cleveland College Dual Tournament. On Friday, Nov. 1, BW is at Oberlin College at 6:00 p.m. The second round site and opponent for Saturday, Nov. 2 is to be determined.  The third and final round is on Saturday, Nov. 9.
