BW Swimmers Set Four Records and Finish Sixth at OAC Championships

AKRON, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's and swimming and diving teams finished sixth at 2014 Ohio Athletic Conference Championship Swimming & Diving Championships at the University of Akron's Ocasek Natatorium.  BW was the host school.

The Yellow Jacket men finished sixth of seven teams with 276 points, set four school records and had one OAC Champion.

The BW men were led by freshman Jacob Burk (Bowling Green) who was the OAC Champion in the 1650-yard freestyle in a school-record time of 16:25.81. He also set the school-record in the 1000-yard fresstyle with his split time of 9:55.51 during the 1650. 

Junior Bryan Gerber (Sagamore Hills/Nordonia) placed fourth in the 200 breast with a school-record time of 2:11.85, which bested sophomore Justin Allison (Napoleon) time of 2:12.32 in the prelims.  Allison took eighth in a time of 2:13.78.
