Yellow Jacket Men Swimmers and Divers Drop OAC Meet to John Carroll

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University mens swimming and diving team lost in dual meet competition to Cleveland cross-town rival John Carroll University in the William H. Johnson Natatorium inside the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center.

The BW men lost to the Blue Streak men, 174-96, to fall to 3-7 overall and 0-4 in the OAC.

Leading the way for the Yellow Jacket men was junior Bryan Gerber (Sagamore Hills / Nordonia) and freshman Jacob Burk (Bowling Green) who each won two events.  Gerber won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:02.57 and the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:11.26
and Burk won the 500-yard Freestyle in a time of 5:03.00 and 1,000-yard freestyle in a time of 10:31.84

Also winning for the men sophomore Justin Allison (Napoleon) won the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:24.61.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Friday, January 31 when they travel to Defiance, Ohio to compete in an OAC match against Defiance College at 6:00 p.m.  BW also competes on Saturday, February 1 at cross-town rival Case Western Reserve University at 1:00 p.m.

BW is the host school for the 2013-2014 OAC Championship Meet from February 13-15 at the University of Akron's Ocasek Natatorium.
