BEREA, Ohio -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's swimming and diving team open the 2013-14 schedule on Friday (October 25) night when they host traditional rival Ohio Wesleyan University in the BW Natatorium located in the Lou Higgins Center at 6:00 p.m. On Saturday (Oct. 26) afternoon, BW will open Ohio Athletic Conference action when it hosts Wilmington College at 4:00 p.m.

The Yellow Jacket men were 3-9 overall and 3-3 versus the OAC a year ago.  They will be led by senior All-OAC competitor Patrick Donohoe (Columbus/Bishop Watterson), junior Bryan Gerber (Sagamore Hills/Nordonia) and sophomores Justin Allison (Napoleon) and Nathan Onchuck (Darien, Ill./Hinsdale South).

Donohoe can swim virtually any event and have a chance to win. He is a school-record holder in the 400 IM.

Gerber specializes in the breaststroke and is strong in the freestyle events. Allison is a spring freestyler who also competes in the breaststroke.  Onchuck specializes in the butterfly and can be strong in the freestyle events. A year ago, Gerber, Onchuck and junior Ronny Woodburn (Ashtabula/Edgewood) formed three-fourths of a solid medley relay squad.
