BEREA, OHIO -- Four Baldwin-Wallace College football senior student-athletes have been named to the 2009 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team announced on Wednesday, December 2. Wide receiver Matt Dash (Medina/ Buckeye) and defensive end Brandon Fast (Ashland/ Senior) were each tabbed Academic All-OAC selections and two other Yellow Jackets earned honorable mention status.
In addition to Dash and Fast, offensive guard Danny Love (Chagrin Falls/ Kenston) and safety Ryan Clokey(Massillon/ Perry) each earned honorable mention All-OAC honors.
Dash, a criminal justice major with a 3.806 grade point average, started all 10 games and had 20 receptions for 239 yards this season. He also was named ESPN THE MAGAZINE Academic All-District IV this fall. Dash is a Dean's List student, a member of BW�s Dayton C. Miller Honor Society and a recipient of the 2008-09 Lee J. Tressel Award.
Fast, a business and finance double-major with a 3.577 GPA, started all 10 games and recorded 44 tackles and tied for the team-lead with 10 tackles for loss. He had three quarterback sacks and seven hurries. Fast was named ESPN THE MAGAZINE Academic All-District IV and second-team All-OAC this fall.
Love, a sport management and business double-major with a 3.447 GPA, started eight games at guard after missing the first two games of the season due to injury. He was a key member of an offensive line that helped B-W rank third in the OAC at 200.5 rushing yards per game.
Clokey, a sport management major with a 3.364 GPA, started all 10 games at safety and served as one of B-W's captains. He ranked second on the team with a career-best 73 tackles and recorded three key interceptions.
