Tonight's Contest: 
Tonight is the fourth road Ohio Athletic Conference game for the Baldwin Wallace football team as it travels to Westerville for a clash with Otterbein University. Last week, BW defeated Muskingum University by a final score of 23-20. Otterbein fell to Heidelberg University in a high scoring overtime affair by a final score of 48-45.

The Series: 
BW and Otterbein are meeting for the 49th time on the gridiron. The Yellow Jackets hold a 36-11-1 all-time series lead but the Cardinals have won four of the last five meetings.  Last season, Otterbein posted a 33-30 victory in Berea. The series began in 1925 with the Yellow Jackets defeating the Cardinals, 7-0, in Berea. 

BW Head Coach Jim Hilvert: 
Hilvert is in his first season at BW. He is 71-21 in nine overall and is 0-0 against Otterbein. 

Otterbein Head Coach Tom Doup: 
Doup is in his sixth season at Otterbein and has a career record of 31-25 and an OAC record of 29-21.  He is 4-1 vs. Baldwin Wallace.

Last Meeting vs. OTT -- October 22, 2016:
BW scored 30 points on 224 yards passing and 174 yards rushing for 398 yards of total offense. Otterbein scored 33 points on 229 yards passing and 179 yards rushing for 408 yards of total offense.

Scouting the Yellow Jackets: 
In week six of the season, BW scored a 23 points on 285 passing yards and 76 rushing yards for 361 yards of total offense. Muskingum scored 20 points on 240  passing yards and 46 rushing yards for 286 yards of total offense.

BW Leaders: 
Offensively, junior quarterback Jake Hudson (East Lake, Fla.) has completed 76 of 134 passes for 1192 yards with 13 touchdowns and four interceptions. He has also rushed for 272 yards on 78 carries with a long of 35 yards. Senior All-OAC running back Austin Smith (Broadview Heights/North Royalton) leads the ground game with 284 yards on 63 carries with two TDs.  Junior wide out Chad Steinwachs (Buffalo, N.Y./Willamsville North) tops the receiving with 19 grabs for 219 yards with five TDs.  Defensively, senior All-OAC linebacker Sam Groff (Waynesburg/Sandy Valley) tops the team with 47 tackles and one fumble recovery. Senior safety Trypp Washington (Eatonville, Fla./Orlando First Academy) is second with 40 stops but leads the team in pass breakups with five and tied for team lead in  interceptions with one.

Scouting the Cardinals:
In week of the six season, Otterbein scored 45 points on 315 yards passing and 212 rushing yards for 527 total yards of offense. Heidelberg scored 48 points on 489 yards passing and 158 rushing yards for 647 total yards of offense.

Otterbein Leaders: 
Offensively, senior quarterback Logan Stepp has completed 101of 172 passes for 1,509 yards with 16 touchdowns and three interceptions. Stepp also is the team leader in rushing with 566 yards on 78 carries with eight touchdowns and a long of 76 yards. Junior running back Christian Johnson lis second in rushing with 374 yards on 83 carries with five touchdowns.  Senior wide out Julian Lowe wleads the receivers with 43 catches for 627 yards withsix touchdowns touchdowns.  Defensively, sophomore defensive back Fred Hardgrove tops the team with 68 tackles and four interceptions.
