Today's Contest: 
Today is second home Ohio Athletic Conference game of the 2017 season for the Baldwin Wallace football team as it hosts Marietta College in the 40th Lee Tressel Shrine Classic. Last week, BW fell to No. 2-nationally ranked University of Mount Union by a final score of 55-7. Marietta won its second game of the season and its first OAC contest as it defeated  cruised to its second straight victory as it defeated Muskingum University by a final score of 49-25.

The Series: 
BW and Marietta have met 39 times previously on the gridiron. The Yellow Jackets lead the all-time series by a margin of 33-6. BW has won 10 of the last 11 meetings.  The Pioneers won last year's meeting by a final score of 62-56. The series began in 1974 with the Yellow Jackets defeating the Pioneers, 73-0, in Berea  

BW Head Coach Jim Hilvert: 
Hilvert is in his first season at BW. He is 68-21 in nine overall and is 0-0 against Marietta. 

Marietta Head Coach Andy Waddle: 
Waddle is in his fourth season Marietta. He is 10-33 overall and 1-3 vs. Baldwin Wallace.

Last Meeting vs. MC -- October 1, 2016:
BW scored 56 points on 249 yards rushing and 197 yards passing for 446 yards of total offense. Marietta scored 62 points, including the final 14 points with the last TD and extra point coming with 33 seconds remaining in the game.  The Pioneers had 364 yards passing and 260 yards rushing for 624 total yards.

Scouting the Yellow Jackets: 
In week three of the season, BW scored seven points on 103 rushing yards, 82 passing yards for 185 yards of total offense. Mount Union scored 55 points on 325 rushing yards, 219 passing yards for 544 yards of total offense.

BW Leaders: 
Offensively, junior quarterback Jake Hudson (East Lake, Fla.) has completed 27 of 62 passes for 369 yards and two TDs.  Junior All-OAC running back Austin Smith (Broadview Heights/North Royalton) leads the rushing attack with 140 yards on 32 carries with two TDs.   Junior wide outs Rob Wolfington (Rapids City, Mich./Elk Rapids) and Chad Steinwachs (Buffalo, N.Y./Willamsville North) top the receiving corps.  Wolfington has seven catches for 136 yards and on TD  while Steinwachs has seven grabs for 95 yards and two TDs.  Defensively, senior safety Trypp Washington (Eatonville, Fla./Orlando First Academy) tops the team with 19 tackles.  Senior All-OAC linebacker Sam Groff (Waynesburg/Sandy Valley) is second with 17 stops and one sack. 

Scouting the Pioneers:
In week three of the season, Marietta scored 49 points on 244 passing yards and 183 rushing yards for 427 total yards of offense. Muskingum scored 25 points on 184 passing yards and 168 rushing yards for a 352 total yards of offense.+

Marietta Leaders: 
Offensively, junior quarterback Darrien Fields has completed 51 of 74 passes for 542 yards and six TDS.  Senior All-OAC running back Roger Walker leads the ground attack with 265 yards on 48 carries with three TDs.  Sophomore wide receiver Andrew Barker leads aerial assault with 12 catches for 185 yards and three TDs.  Defensively, junior linebacker Garrett Davis tops the squad with 27 tackles. Senior linebacker Nick O'Neal is second with 23 tackles.
