Today's Contest: 
Today is the final home game of the 2017 season for the Baldwin Wallace University football team.  It also marks Seniors' and Parents Day for the football student-athletes as well as the student coaches, band members, cheerleaders, managers and athletic trainers.Last week, BW defeated Capital University at home by a final score of 52-34 on Past Captrains Day.  Heidelberg knocked off Wilmington College at home by a final score of 37-14. 

The Series: 
BW has faced Heidelberg more times on the gridiron than any other opponent as the teams have played 70 games.  The Yellow Jackets holding an 47-23 all-time series lead.  The Student Princes won last years's meeting by a final score of 37-27. The series began in 1897 when BW won by a final score of 10-0 in Berea.

BW Head Coach Jim Hilvert: 
Hilvert is in his first season at BW and has a record of 5-3. He is 72-22 in nine overall and is 0-0 against Heidelberg. 

Heidelberg Head Coach Scott Donaldson: 
Donaldson is in his second season at Heidelberg and has an overall record of 12-6 and an OAC mark of 11-5.  He is 1-0 vs. Baldwin Wallace.

Last Meeting vs. HU -- November 5, 2016:
BW scored 27 points on 230 yards passing and 181 yards rushing for 411 yards of total offense. Heidelberg scored 37 points on 257 yards passing and 140 yards rushing for 397 yard of total offense.

Scouting the Yellow Jackets: 
In week eight of the season, BW scored a season-high tying 52 points on a season-best 363 yards passing and 277 yards rushing for a season-high 640 yards of total offense. Capital scored 34 points on 286 yards passing and 117 yards rushing for 403 yards of total offense.

BW Leaders: 
Offensively, junior quarterback Jake Hudson (East Lake, Fla.) has completed 118 of 205 passes for 1,745 yards with 16 touchdowns and six interceptions. He is second in rushing with 349 yards on 98 carrries with three touchdowns. Senior All-OAC running back Austin Smith (Broadview Heights/North Royalton) leads the ground game with 447 yards on 88 carries with three TDs.  Junior wide out Chad Steinwachs (Buffalo, N.Y./Willamsville North) tops the receiving with 33 grabs for 382 yards with six TDs.  Defensively, senior All-OAC linebacker Sam Groff (Waynesburg/Sandy Valley) tops the team with77 tackles. Senior safety Trypp Washington (Eatonville, Fla./Orlando First Academy) is second with 61 stops but is tied for the team lead in pass breakups with six and interceptions with three.

Scouting the Student Princes:
In week of the seven of the season, Heidelberg scored 37 points on 323 yards passing and 219 yards rushing for 542 yards of total offense. Wilmington scored 14 points on 196 yards rushing and 117 yards passing for 313 yards of total offense.

Heidelberg Leaders: 
Offensively, senior All-OAC quarterback Tyler Stoyle has completed 197 of 325 passes for 2,684 yards with 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Senior tight end Cameron Vocke leads the ground game with 564 yards on 114 carries with 13 touchdowns.  Senior All-OAC wide out Demetrius Magee leads the receivers with 64 catches for 896 yards with nine touchdowns.  Defensively, junior linebacker Trevor Summers leads the team with  53 tackles.  Austin Crow is second with 43 stops but leads the squad and is second in the OAC with 8.5 sacks.
