BEREA, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University women's volleyball team lost an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup against the University of Mount Union by a score of 3-0 inside Ursprung Gymnasium at the Lou Higgins Center.
BW Leaders (7-9, 0-2 OAC)
- Sophomore middle hitter Maleia Thurber (Temecula, Calif./Chaparral) led the offense with nine kills while hitting .533 and also adding two blocks
- Freshman outside hitter Alexis Smith (Tiffin/Columbian) recorded eight kills and three digs
- Senior All-OAC libero Lauren Gardner (Avon/Saint Joseph Academy) tallied 22 digs
- Senior Academic All-OAC middle hitter Isa Luciano (Willoughby/South) recorded seven kills, three digs, and two blocks
Mount Union Leaders (13-3, 1-1 OAC)
- Junior right-side hitter Darby Leininger recorded nine kills and three digs for the Purple Raiders
- Freshman setter Meliss Hansen totaled 16 assists and nine digs
- Junior setter Casey Kildow also added 14 assists
