Women's Volleyball Recognizes Seven Senior Student-Athletes

BEREA, Ohio –  The Baldwin Wallace University Athletic Department and women's volleyball program would like to congratulate senior student-athletes Sydni Colchagoff, Kathleen Egan, Alexis Garrett, Allison May, Kail Nicholas, Sam Pruett and Sarah Reinhard on completing their outstanding athletic careers at the University.

While the NCAA has extended another year of eligibility, it is uncertain if each of these student-athlete will come back for another season or continue down their career path.  So, the University administration, faculty and staff congratulates these seven young women on their outstanding athletic and academic careers as well as their leadership to the women's volleyball program. The University would like to wish each of them all the best of luck in their future endeavors and hope that even after graduation that they come back and visit us often. They will always be a Yellow Jacket for Life (YJ4L).

Colchagoff is a public health major from Findlay, Ohio and a graduate of Liberty-Benton High School. She is a defensive specialist, libero and setter that will earn her fourth varsity letter this spring. This season, Colchagoff appeared in 11 matches and 20 sets.  She recorded 25 digs, three service aces and two assists. For her career, Colchagoff has appeared in 64 matches and 157 sets with 270 digs, 40 service aces, 38 assists and two kills. Off the court, she is a two-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection, a Dean's List student and Jacket Scholar. Colchagoff is the daughter of Wick and Lori Colchagoff of Findlay.

 

 

 

  

Egan is psychology major from Cleveland, Ohio and a graduate of Beaumont High School. She is an All-Ohio Athletic Conference setter that will earn her fourth varsity letter this spring. This season, Egan appeared in 20 matches and 70 sets and was a first-team All-OAC selection.  She led the team and was second in the OAC in assists with 707.  Also, Egan was second on the team in digs with 194, fifth in kills with 79 and tallied a career-high 32 blocks.  For her career, Egan appeared in 131 matches and 440 sets.  She ranks fourth on the school's all-time assist list with 3,241. Egan recorded 771 digs, 215 kills, 109 service aces and 86 blocks. Off the court, she is a Dean's List student. Egan is the daughter of Rob and Beth Egan of Cleveland

 

 

 

  Garrett is an exercise science and pre-physical therapy/pre-allied health double major from Mentor, Ohio and graduate of Mentor High School.  She is an All-Ohio Athletic Conference right side hitter that will earn her fourth varsity letter this spring.  This season, Garrett appeared in 20 matches and 68 sets and was a second-team All-OAC selection.  She was third on the team in kills with 210. Garrett also recorded 32 digs, 19 blocks and two assists. She was selected to the OAC All-Tournament teamFor her career, Garrett appeared in 103 matches and 277 sets. She recorded 662 kills, 119 digs, 92 blocks, 33 service aces and 15 assists.  Off the court, Garrett is an Academic All-OAC selection and a Dean's List student.  She is the daughter of Jared and Melissa Garrett of Mentor.  

 

 

   

May is a pre-physical therapy/pre-allied health major from Louisville, Ohio and a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School.  She is a middle hitter that will earn her third varsity letter this spring.  This season, May appeared in 14 matches and 44 sets.  She recorded 27 digs, 22 service aces, 20 blocks, 15 kills and one assist. In her career, May appeared in 44 matches and 99 sets with 67 kills, 46 digs, 44 blocks, 37 service aces and three assists. Off the court, she is a two-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection and a Dean's List student. May is the daughter of Tim and Michelle May of Louisville.

 

 

 

   

Nicholas is a national security major from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and a graduate of University School of Milwaukee.  She is a middle hitter that will earn her second varsity letter this spring.  This season, Nicholas appeared in 15 matches and 47 sets.  She recorded 65 kills, 32 blocks, 10 digs and four assists. For her career, Nicholas appeared 54 matches and 141 sets with 196 kills, 103 blocks, 26 digs and six assists.  Off the court, she is a two-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection, a Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society.  Nicholas is the daughter of Lee and Kim Starz-Nicholas of Milwaukee.

 

 

 

 

  Pruett is a mathematics major from Bolivar, Ohio and a graduate of Tuscarawas Valley High School.  She is a right side hitter and setter that will earn her third varsity letter this spring. This season, Pruett appeared in five matches and six sets with two assists. In her career, Pruett appeared in 56 matches and 121 sets with 183 kills, 134 digs, 57 assists, 14 blocks and seven service aces. Off the court, she is an Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection and a Dean's List student.  Pruett is the daughter of Ryan and Danielle Pruett of Bolivar.

 

 

 

 

Reinhard is an athletic training and pre-physical therapy/pre-allied health double major from Willoughby, Ohio and a graduate of Willoughby South High School.  She is an All-Ohio Athletic Conference libero and defensive specialist that will earn her fourth varsity letter this spring.  This season, Reinhard appeared in 20 matches and 71 sets and was an honorable mention All-OAC selection.  She led the team and was third in the conference in digs with 338.  She was second on the squad in assists with 69 and tied for third in service aces with 18.  For her career, Reinhard appeared in 112 matches and 373 sets.  She ranks fourth on the school's all-time digs list with 1,844.  Reinhard has also recorded 280 assists, 111 service aces, 15 kills and one block. Off the court, she is a two-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection, a Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society. Reinhard is the daughter of Paul and Mary Reinhard of Willoughby.
