Earl Garners Second Career OAC Women’s Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week Accolade

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC outside hitter Ivy Earl (Howell, Mich.) has been selected as the OAC Women's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for the second time in her career.

Earl helped guide BW (6-4, 6-4 OAC) to a sweep of Heidelberg University and a split with OAC-leader Muskingum University last week.  She recorded 61 kills, including a career-best tying 20 in the Yellow Jackets win over the Fighting Muskies, in 15 sets.  Earl also accounted for 37 digs, five service aces, four assists and four blocks.  In addition. the outside hitter had just two service reception errors against her in 104 attempts last week.

This season, she is third on the team and seventh in the OAC with 107 kills.  Earl is also third on the team in digs with 104.   

In her career, Earl has appeared in 69 matches and 238 sets.  She has recorded 648 kills, 609 digs 72 service aces, 37 assists and 45 blocks. 

Off the court, Earl is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar and a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta and Chi Alpha Sigma honoraries.

BW is back in action tonight, March 30 when it travels to University Heights for an OAC doubleheader against crosstown rival John Carroll University inside the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center at 6 p.m.  The Yellow Jackets close out the week when they host an OAC doubleheader against Wilmington College in the Ursprung Gymnasium inside the Lou Higgins Center at 6 p.m.
