Five Women’s Volleyball Players Named to the All-OAC Team

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio –Baldwin Wallace University women's volleyball players have been named to the 2021 All-Ohio Athletic Conference Spring Volleyball team.

Senior setter Kathleen Egan (Cleveland/Beaumont) and junior Academic All-OAC outside hitter Ivy Earl (Howell, Mich.) were selected to the first-team. Senior Academic All-OAC outside hitter Alexis Garrett (Mentor) landed on the second-team.   Senior Academic All-OAC libero Sarah Reinhard (Willoughby/South) and junior Academic All-OAC outside hitter Cecelia Stebel (Union/Northmont) were tabbed as honorable mention selections. 

Egan garners her second straight accolade after being tabbed as an honorable mention selection a season ago.  This season, she has appeared in 19 matches and 66 sets.  Egan leads the team and is second in the OAC in assists with  688.  Also, she is second on the team in digs with 186, fifth in kills with 74 and tallied a career-high31 blocks.  For her career, Egan has appeared in 111 matches and 370 sets.  She ranks fourth on the school's all-time assist list with 3,203. Egan has recorded 763 digs, 210 kills, 108 service aces and 85 blocks.

Earl earns her second honor after being named to the second-team in 2018.  This season, she has appeared in 19 matches and 67 sets.   She leads the team and is second in the OAC in kills with 235 kills, leads the squad and is tied for second in the league with 28 services aces and is second on the team in digs with 189.  Earl has also tallied 13 blocks and 12 assists.   For her career, Earl has appeared in 78 matches and 268 sets.   She has recorded 776 kills, 694 digs, 90 service aces, 53 blocks and 39 assists.  Off the court, Earl is an Academic All-OAC selection, Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta and Chi Alpha Sigma honoraries.

Garrett garners her second straight accolade and being selected to the first-team last season.  This season, she has appeared in 19 matches and 64 sets.  Garrett is third on the team in kills with 198.  She has also recorded 30 digs, 17 blocks and two assists.  For her career, Garrett has appeared in 102 matches and 273 sets.  She has recorded 650 kills, 117 digs, 33 service aces, 17 blocks and 15 assists.  Off the court, Garrett is an Academic All-OAC selection and a Dean's List student. 

Reinhard earns her second honor as she was an honorable mention selection in 2018.  This season, she has appeared in 19 matches and 67 sets.  Reinhard leads the team and is third in the conference in digs with 320.  She is second on the squad in assists with 80 and tied for third in service aces with 18.  For her career, Reinhard has appeared in 111 matches and 369 sets.  She ranks fourth on the school's all-time digs list with 1,826.  Reinhard has also recorded 279 assists, 111 service aces, 15 kills and one block.  Off the court, she is a two-time Academic All-OAC selection, a Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society.

Stebel earns her first accolade for her efforts in 19 matches and 67 sets this season.  She is second on the team and fourth in the league with a career-high 227 kills. She also recorded career-bests in digs with 50, blocks with 18, four assists and tied her career-best in service aces with one.  For her career, Stebel has appeared in 57 matches and 159 sets.  She has tallied 423 kills, 90 digs, 31 blocks, seven assists and two service aces. Off the court, Stebel is an Academic All-OAC selection, Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar.

BW (14-5) is back in action on Thursday, April 15 when it travels to Westerville for an OAC Tournament semifinal match against Otterbein University in the Rike Center at 7 p.m.
