Yellow Jacket Volleyball Team Falls to OAC Rival Otterbein College, 3-0, in Westerville

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College volleyball team lost 3-0 at Ohio Athletic Conference rival Otterbein College tonight (Tuesday, October 20, 2009) in Westerville.

With the loss, the Yellow Jackets fall to 3-23 overall and 0-6 in the OAC. Otterbein College improves to 19-8 and 2-4 in the OAC.

Otterbein defeated the Yellow Jackets by scores of 25-16, 25-16, 25-13.

Offensively, the Yellow Jackets were led by junior Abbey Thompson (Lorain/ Clearview) with 11 kills. Junior setter Casey Passen (Ashville/Teays Valley) had 12 assists and freshman Alex Gbur (Toledo/ Central Catholic) totaled two service aces.

Defensively, freshman Natalie Emmons (Ashland/Senior) had 11 digs and Gbur recorded 10.

B-W is back in action this Saturday, October 24 at Muskingum University at 6:00 p.m. in New Concord.
