Three Women’s Track and Field Athletes Garner USTFCCA All-American Honors

USTFCCA Release

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Three Baldwin Wallace University women's track and field student-athletes have garnered United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) All-America honors for the 2020 NCAA Division III Indoor Championships.

While normal policies dictate the honor goes to the top-eight finishers in both individual and relay events, the executive committee adopted the following criteria as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic cancelling the NCAA Championships. Based on selected participants initially announced by the NCAA, the following are now recognized as All-Americans:

  • Individual events: All student-athletes declared and initially accepted.
  • Relay events: Members of ALL relays who produced the performance that was declared and accepted.

Senior All-American, All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC distance runner Kelly Brennan (Akron/Walsh Jesuit) and senior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC throwers Brooke Buckhannon (Collins/Western Reserve) and Jillian Roberts (Broadview Heights/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) earned All-American accolades in three events.

Buckhannon has been an OAC champion on four occasions and an All-Ohio champion in the weight throw, hammer throw, shot put and discus.
