AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC thrower Brooke Buckhannon (Collins/Western Reserve) has been named the OAC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for the second time in her career.

Buckhannon earns her second weekly indoor accolade and fifth overall regardless of season, after she posted a top finish in both the Mid-February Open and All-Ohio Indoor Championships, respectively. She opened her successful weekend at Friday's Mid-February Open, where she placed first in the weight throw event with a distance of 53' 9.75". Buckhannon then followed up that showing with a terrific performance at the All-Ohio Indoor Championships on Saturday, where she posted a victorious career-best distance of 55' 7.75" in the weight throw, as well as a third-place finish in the shot put event with a final mark of 42' 8.25". Buckhannon earned two All-Ohio Indoor honors for her performances on Saturday, having placed amongst the top three scorers in both events she competed in.

Now in national qualifying contention, Buckhannon is currently ranked 16th in NCAA Division III in the weight throw event, thanks to Saturday's 55' 7.75" mark.

For her indoor career, Buckhannon is a three-time USTFCCCA All-Great Lakes Region, four-time All-OAC, and two-time Academic All-OAC performer, as well as the reigning two-time OAC Most Outstanding Field Athlete of the Year.
