Robinson Garners First Career OAC Women’s Tennis Weekly Honor

BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University freshman women's tennis player Imani Robinson (Cincinnati /School for Creative & Performing Arts) has been selected as the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player-of-the-Week for the first time in her career.

Robinson won both her doubles and singles match as the Yellow Jackets won their third straight match as they won a hard-fought match against the University of Mount Union by a final score of 5-4 in the OAC opener.

Robinson and All-OAC and Academic All-OAC pstandout Kelsey Blatt (Tallmadge) were the lone BW tandem to win in doubles play as the dou claimed an 8-4 victory at first singles.   The unit improved to 8-5 on the year.

In singles action, Robinson won her match at number two singles by scores of 6-2 and 6-2 to up her record to 8-6 this season.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Friday, April 1 when they plays their first outdoor home match as they host NCAA Division II Clarion (Pa.) University on the Pop Collins Tennis Courts at 3 p.m.  BW returns to OAC play on Saturday, April 2 when it travels to Westerville to face Otterbein University on the Otterbein Tennis Courts at 1 p.m.
