Women’s Tennis Falls to OAC Leader Otterbein

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis was defeated by Ohio Athletic Conference leader Otterbein University by a final score of 8-1 inside the Clements Recreation Center.

BW (7-6, 1-1 OAC), who has won five of its last seven matches, snapped a three-match winning streak.  Otterbein (12-1, 2-0 OAC) has now won 10 straight matches.

BW trailed 0-3 after doubles play.  The tandem of senior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC player Kelsey Blatt (Tallmadge) and freshman Imani Robinson (Cincinnati /School for Creative & Performing Arts), who is this week's OAC Player-of-the-Week, had the closest match as they fell at first doubles by a score of 8-5.

In singles action, the Yellow Jackets got their lone point of the match as sophomore Kelly Peskura (Strongsville) won her match at fifth singles by identical scores of 6-3.

BW is back in action on Wednesday, April 6 when it hosts an OAC match against cross-town rival John Carroll University on the Pop Collins Tennis Courts at 3:30 p.m.
