Women’s Tennis Falls to No. 39 Oberlin

OBERLIN, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis dropped a non-conference match to No. 39-nationally ranked Oberlin College by a final score of 9-0 in the Heisman Field House.

Oberlin (3-1) gained a 3-0 advantage after doubles play.  BW's (2-3) number one tandem of senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC player Kelsey Blatt (Tallmadge) and freshman Imani Robinson (Cincinnati/School for Creative & Performing Arts) dropped the closest contested match by a score of 8-4.

The Yeowomen completed the shutout by winning all six doubles matches.  Sophomore number six singles player Shannon Finkenthal (Beachwood) played the closest match as she fell by scores of 7-5 and 6-1.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, February 20 when they travel to Gambier for a non-conference dual match against Kenyon College in the David W. Jasper Tennis Center at 3:30 p.m.
