Women’s Swimming and Diving Falls to Randolph Macon (Va.)

SARASOTA, Fla. -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's swimming and diving team fell to Randolph Macon (Va.) College in a non-conference dual by a final score of 123-44 at the Arlington Park Aquatic Complex.

BW (8-2) won two individual events. 

Individuals

  • Junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC stroker Mallory Dondorfer (Mentor) won the 50-yard butterfly in a time of 28.15, won the 100-yard individual medley in a time of 1:03.71 and was second in the 50-yard backstroke in a time of 30.41
  • Senior All-OAC stroker Tia Reed (Bluffton, S.C.) was third in the 50-yard breaststroke in a time of 33.98
  • Junior stroker Athena Pantoja (Ashtabula/Lakeside) was fourth in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 26.94 and fifth in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 1:00.94
  • Sophomore stroker Morgan Ingalls (Erie, Pa./Harbor Creek) was fifth in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:16.02

Relays

  • The 200-yard freestyle unit of freshman stroker Ashley Slife (Westfield Center/Cloverleaf), Reed, senior Academic All-OAC freestyler Kate Wells (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) and Dondorfer took second in a time of 1:51.92
  • The 200-yard medley relay team of Pantoja, Reed, A. Slife and senior Academic All-OAC stroker Lauren Slife (Westfield Center/Cloverleaf) finished fourth in a time of 2:06.61

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, January 13 when they travel to nearby Wooster for a non-conference dual meet against The College of Wooster in the Timken Natatorium inside the Armington Physical Education Center at 1 p.m.
