Women’s Swimming and Diving Wins a Pair of Non-Conference Meets over Heidelberg and Ohio Wesleyan

DELAWARE, Ohio -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's swimming and diving team won a pair of non-conference dual meets over Heidelberg University and Ohio Wesleyan University inside the Meek Center.

BW (6-0) defeated Heidelberg (0-5) by a final score of 190-30 and Ohio Wesleyan (1-3) by a final score of 137-93.

Individuals

  • Junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference stroker Mallory Dondorfer (Mentor) won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:03.16 and a won the 400-yard individual medley in a time of 4:56.00
  • Freshman diver Ella Steen (Madison /Painesville Riverside) won the 1-meter dive in a time of 169.05 and won the 3-meter dive with 170.95 points
  • Junior stroker Brooklyn Duguay (Aurora) took second in the 1000-yard freestyle in a time of 12:59.10
  • Senior All-OAC stroker Tia Reed (Bluffton, S.C.) won the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:10.61 and was second in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 26.89
  • Sophomore freestyler Rachel Fibbi (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:09.72 and was second in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:45.10
  • Junior stroker Athena Pantoja (Ashtabula/Lakeside) was second in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:09.59 and second in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:11.54
  • Freshman diver Isabel Hershkovicz (Strongsville) was second in the 1-meter dive with 155.50 points and the 3-meter dive with 149.30 points
  • Freshman stroker Ashley Slife (Westfield Center/Cloverleaf) was the second in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:08.46
  • Senior Academic All-OAC freestyler Kate Wells (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) was second in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 1:00.96

Relays

  • The 200-yard medley relay squad of sophomore striker Ariel Lisy (Strongsville), Reed, Dondorfer and senior stroker Lauren Slife (Westfield Center/Cloverleaf) took second in a time of 2:00.82
  • The 200-yard freestyle relay unit of Lisy, Fibbi, Ashley Slife and Wells won in a time of 1:50.91 

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, November 11 when they travel to Alliance for an OAC dual meet against the University of Mount Union in the Hammond Natatorium inside the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex.
