FREDONIA, N.Y. – The Baldwin Wallace University women's swimming and diving teams won its third straight non-conference dual meet as it rolled past Fredonia University in a non-conference meet by a final score of 204-52 in the Steele Hall Natatorium.
BW (3-0) won 10 of 11 individual events and both relays. Fredonia (1-2) won one event.
Individuals
- Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference stroker Tia Reed (Bluffton, S.C.) won the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:35.46 and the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:11.83
- Junior All-OAC stroker Mallory Dondorfer (Mentor) won the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 57.71 and the 200-yard butterfly in a time of 2:20.89
- Sophomore stroker Morgan Ingalls (Erie, Pa./Harbor Creek) won the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2:25.85 and the 1000-yard freestyle in a time of 12:15.42
- Sophomore stroker Ariel Lisy (Strongsville) won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:09.21 and the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 6:04.24
- Freshman Abby Marquardt (Pickerington/Central) won the 100-breasktroke in a time of 1:18.23 and was second in the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:51.32
- Senior stroker Jami Melzer (Bradenton, Fla./Lakewood Ranch) won the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:31.22
- Freshman diver Isabel Hershkovicz (Strongsville) won the 1-meter with 163.65 points
- Freshman diver Ella Steen (Madison/Painesville Riverside) won the 3-meter with 174.90 points
- Freshman stroker Ashley Slife (Westfield Center/Cloverleaf) won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:08.27 and was second in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 28.15 and the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2:29.43
- Sophomore freestyler Rachel Fibbi (Pittsburg, Pa./Upper St. Clair) was second in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:10.82
- Junior stroker Athena Pantoja (Ashtabula/Lakeside) was second in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:26.69
- Freshman Kaela Gallion (Valley City/Buckeye) was second in the 1000-yard freestyle in a time of 13:03.74
- Freshman Lainey McDaniels (Cuyahoga Falls) was second in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:11.83
Relays
- The 200-yard medley relay squad of Dondorfer, Reed, Pantoja and senior stroker Lauren Slife (Westfield Center/Cloverleaf) won in a time of 2:01.28
- The 200-yard freestyle relay unit of Lauren Slife, Reed, McDaniels and Dondorfer won in a time of 1:51.77
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Friday, November 3 when it travels to Canton for a non-conference dual meet against NCAA Division II Malone University in the C.T. Branin Natatorium at 6 p.m.
