Women's Swimming and Diving Falls on Road to Wooster

WOOSTER, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's swimming and diving team drops a non-conference match against Wooster College in the Timken Natatorium.

BW (9-1) won 1 of the 11 events, had 6 runner-up finishers as it falls to Wooster by a final score of 136-65.

The Yellow Jackets individual highlights included:
Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference performer Kayla McClintock (Venetia, Pa. / Peters Township) placed second in the 1000-yard freestyle in a time of 11:36.76.
Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference performer Bella Ratino (Mentor/Hawken) finished second in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:36.95.
Freshmen Athena Pantoja (Ashtabula/Lakeside) placed third in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:06.75.
Junior All-OAC performer Julia Newbould (Strongsville) placed third in the 50-yard freestyle in 26.47 seconds.
Sophomore Tia Reed (Bluffton, S.C.) places second in the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:37.80.
Freshman Mallory Dondorfer (Mentor) won the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2:14.95 and placed second the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:16.95
Junior Aubrey Syron (Dayton/Archbishop Alter) placed third in the 200-yard butterfly in a time of 2:28.09.

BW relays were highlighted by:
The 400-yard medley relay unit of Dondorfer, Reed, Pantoja, and Newbould took second in a time of 4:15.94.
The 400-yard freestyle team of Newbould, McClintock, sophomore Lauren Slife (Westfield Center/Cloverleaf) and freshmen Jena Parks (Geneva / Madison) placed second in a time of 3:57.36.

The Yellow Jackets return to the pool on Saturday, January 22nd as it travels to University Heights for a conference meet against John Carroll University in the Johnson Natatorium
