Ratino Gains Second Career OAC Swimmer of the Week Accolade

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – For the second time in her career, Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference performer Bella Ratino (Mentor/Hawken) has been selected as the OAC swimmer of the week.

Ratino earns the weekly honor after finishing first in the five events she competed in. She helped her team place for third in the three-day Oberlin Invitational. She won the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:11.74. She placed 1st in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:57.83. In the 1650-yard freestyle , she touched the wall first in the in 18:31.38.

Ratino took place in the 800-yard freestyle relay and 400-yard freestyle squad both helping the units finish first. In the 800-yard freestyle relay, Ratino was able to help her group finish in a time of 8:06.40. In the 400-yard freestyle, the squad finished in a time of 3:45.52.

The Yellow Jackets return to the pool on Saturday, December 4th as it hosts Bethany College and Hiram College for a non-conference meet at BW Natatorium inside Lou Higgins Rec Center.
