Nockengost and Kural Named OAC Co-Women Swimmers of the Week

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC performer Erika Nockengost (Cuyahoga Falls) and junior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC performer Marissa Kural (LaGrange, Ill./Lyons Township) have been named the OAC Co-Women Swimmers of the Week.

The duo led BW to a 148-31 victory over Buffalo State (N.Y.) University last week at the Arlington Park Aquatic Center in Sarasota, Florida during its annual winter break training trip.

Nockengost, who earns her second weekly honor, won the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 58.86 and tied for first in the 100-yard individual medley in a season-best time of 1:06.22.  She also swam the final leg on the winning 200-medley relay team in a season-best time of 2:00.48.  For her career, Nockengost is a two-time OAC Champion, a five-time All-OAC performer and holds two school-records.  Out of the pool, she is a two-time Academic All-OAC selection, a Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar.

Kural, who garners her first weekly accolade, captured the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:03.19 and tied for first in the 100-yard individual medley in a time of 1:06.22.  For her career, Kural is an OAC and Academic All-OAC performer and holds one school record.  Out of the pool, she is a Dean's List student.
