Bodkin Earns First Career OAC Player of the Week

BEREA, Ohio --  Baldwin Wallace University senior attack Colleen Bodkin (East Aurora, N.Y.) has been named as the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week.  It is the first time she has earned the honor.

Bodkin scored four goals, including a last-second game-winner versus the University of Mount Union in an 11-10 win at home, and had one assist as the Yellow Jackets upset Mt. Union and came back to beat Capital University, 13-12, to clinch the No.2 seed in this week's OAC Tournament. She had five ground balls and five forced turnovers as BW has won a school-record 13 games and heads into the OAC Tournament at 13-3 overall.

For the season, Bodkin has 38 goals to rank third and 10 assists for 48 points. She also has 34 ground balls, 27 draw controls and 13 forced turnovers.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action this Wednesday, April 30 when they host Otterbein University in an OAC Tournament semifinal game on the Tressel Field at 7 p.m.   The winner advances to the OAC Tournament Championship on Saturday, May 3 at the highest remaining seed.
