Swimming & Diving Teams Opened with a Victory Versus Wilmington

BEREA, OHIO --
The Baldwin-Wallace College men's swimming and diving teams each opened the 2011-12 season as they defeated Ohio Athletic Conference foe Wilmington College today (Saturday, October 29, 2011) in the B-W Natatorium in the Lou Higgins Recreation Center.

The Yellow Jacket men defeated the Quakers, 138-87.

The Yellow Jacket men were led by senior swimmer Nic Null (Shelby/ Mansfield St. Peters) who won the 50 yard freestyle in a time of 22.66, the 100 yard freestyle in 50.58, and was a member of the 200 yard medley relay team along with sophomores Ryan Stover (Napoleon) and Patrick Donohoe (Columbus/ Bishop Watterson), and junior Chris Tuttle (North Royalton) in a time of 1:45.31. Along with Null, junior diver Tony Tijerina (Defiance/ Napoleon) won the 1-meter voluntary and optional dives with scores of 178.00 and 132.55. 

The Yellow Jackets next compete on Saturday, November 5 when they travel to Erie, Pennsylvania for a dual meet at Penn State Behrend at 1:00 p.m. The next home meet is on Saturday, Nov. 12 when B-W hosts Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) College in the B-W Natatorium at 4:00 p.m.
